Best Way to Lose WeightEverybody wants to know what is the best way to lose weight, to them, my answer is always three simple things: 1) diet; 2) exercise; and 3) motivation to do 1 & 2. In this blog post, I will be covering these simple steps, which together form the best way to lose weight – hopefully, this article will be interesting to you.

Diet

It is extremely difficult to lose weight without a diet, by diet, I mean a better diet than you currently have. Let’s be honest, the reason that you are overweight has nothing to do with junk food or any other evil reason. It is simply because you do not make wise food choices.

This is why, when I say diet, I am really saying that I recommend you make smarter food choices. Such as, avoid junk food or anything else for that matter. Just before you are about to eat something, I would recommend that you stop for a second and think about what you are doing – if you want to stay overweight, then you should eat it.

In short, the diet that you select should focus on the healthy food groups and should allow you to make wise food choices. A diet that is too damn restrictive will cause you to lose motivation in a short amount of time.

Exercise

You should also start some regular exercise, this is because, exercise helps us burn fat. That is something that even a child would know, the exercise that you should be doing is low intensity. The reason that I recommend low intensity, is that it is easy, but also effective. People see shows like the biggest loser, that have the contestants blasting their bodies like crazy and think that it how you lose weight.

That is simply not true, losing weight does not require such levels of effort. You should really aim for around 1 hour of low intensity exercise such as walking, it won’t destroy your body and you will not lose motivation.

Motivation

The number one reason people fail to lose weight is a lack of motivation and discipline – it is really that simple. This is why, I recommend that you do not over do it. If you push yourself to hard with exercise or you start a diet that you really do not like – then guess what, you will lose motivation and consequently, discipline.

This is why, I recommend that you start something that you can easily follow. Doing this will greatly increase your chances of staying motivated. After all, if you are on a diet that you like and are exercising the way you like, thenĀ  there should be no reason why you stop, right?

Summary

The best way to lose weight is simple, all that it requires is a smart diet, some regular exercise, but most importantly that you stay motivated. If you want to lose weight, doing one a two will only get you so far, if you want to keep going then you need 3.

So remember, do not lose motivation, otherwise you will not lose weight.
